1. I understand that Hinckley Interns who serve a Washington, D.C. or a State Legislature internship must register for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 10 hours. I understand that if needed, I can submit a petition to the Hinckley Institute for an additional 2 hours. I understand that Hinckley Interns who serve locally must register for a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 5 hours. I understand that I need to register for HNKLY 4900 and that I can get an access code from the Hinckley Institute to register for the class.
2. I will read carefully and follow the “Research Paper Guidelines” section of the Hinckley In- stitute’s website. I know that the most significant portion of my grade will depend on the quality of the paper and book report submitted. I understand that the paper guidelines specify that it must be a serious research project and not a chronological narrative or diary.
3. I will write a paragraph describing my topic and submit it to Courtney McBeth for approval by the specified date, which is about the middle of the internship. I understand that the Hinckley Institute will keep this paragraph on file.
4. I will keep a journal of my internship.
