Civility in Politics: Contrasting Visions and Tolerance—Finding Common Ground from Various Perspectives

How do we critically examine our positions without hearing from all sides? We should recognize that there are often more than two positions on an issue which should help all of us understand that the world is not binary, and if we did recognize that, there can be many positions on a contentious issue and we might find space for common ground.
