Please join us in the Hinckley Caucus room as we celebrate Senator Bennett's induction into the Hinckley Hall of Fame. 

Robert F. Bennett represented Utah in the U.S. Senate from 1993-2011. During his 18 year tenure, he earned a reputation for reaching across party lines to develop creative and pragmatic solutions to critical issues. 

As a Senior Member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, he secured funds for the 2002 Winter Olympics, FrontRunner, and Trax. He also served as a Senior Member of the Senate Banking Committee, as the Ranking Republican on the Senate Rules Committee, and as Chairman of the distinguished Joint Economic Committee. 

Born on September 18, 1933, he married Joyce McKay in 1962. They have six children. Senator Bennett graduated from the University of Utah in 1957 where he later returned to serve as a Hinckley Institute Resident Scholar.
