Steve Johnston started working on federal political campaigns eighteen years ago…before he could even drive. As the Chief Operating Officer of FlexPoint Media, an omnichannel media strategy firm, he builds brands, moves public opinion, and uses data to help advertisers make smarter decisions. He was named to Campaigns & Elections Magazine's 2016 "Rising Stars" and the American Association of Political Consultants' 2017 “40 Under 40” list. As a member of Google’s Elections team, Steve drove the adoption of digital advertising with campaigns, super PACs, and political party organizations. Prior to Google, he directed the digital marketing for Senator Dan Sullivan’s winning Senate campaign, developed digital strategy for former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and worked on Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign. He also co-founded a company backed by Silicon Valley’s Y Combinator startup accelerator. Steve earned an MBA in Marketing and Operations Management from Wharton and an AB in Government from Harvard.
