The German Budestag serves as the legislative branch for the German government. It is responsible for government scrutiny, the federal budget, and deployment of the Bundeswehr (Federal Armed Forces). Budestag interns will have the opportunity to study legislative and administrative procedures and to spend time in Kiel and at the CAU University in Kiel, Germany as part of a prestigious University of Utah and Kiel exchange. 


Interns may assist in daily office operations, research, write press releases, respond to constituent mail, monitor and document political news coverage, assist in preparation and carry out of press conferences, screen media relations for the various political parties, assist with campaign work, and support other tasks needed for the general effort of the political parties.
