This forum is Presented by the University of Utah Veteran's Day Comittee

At this Hinckley Forum, Professor Matt Basso will explore an often-overlooked dimension of World War II: the disability history of the war and its impact on the American home front. Drawing from his ongoing National Park Service project, Professor Basso will examine the experiences of both military personnel (including WWI vets) and civilians, offering a national perspective anchored in Utah-based examples. His talk will highlight key sites including the uranium mines of southern Utah, Geneva Steel in Provo, the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, and Bushnell Military Hospital in Brigham City.
