The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum is located at the cite of the two former Nazi concentration camps, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau. The memorial is dedicated to honoring the memory of those who died at the camp. The museum is comprised of several original buildings and is home to thousands of World War II and Holocaust artifacts. The museum also serves as an archive for historical documents and artifacts relating to the Auschwitz concentration camps, including camp records. The museum also conducts Holocaust research and education.
Interns with the Museum are able to help perform daily museum functions, including working with Museum archives and preservation. Interns may also have the opportunity to work in research and publishing. Finally, there are also opportunities in public relations and communications, as well as with the Museum education center.
