Policy and Advocacy in International Politics
Fall Semester

Spend the semester learning about international politics, advocacy, and real-world political engagement. Then spend an unforgettable fall break traveling to Europe for hands-on learning in London and Brussels. 

Major players in global affairs, London and Brussels are home to some of the most prominent NGOs working on international policy, from migration to healthcare to economic development to human rights. Students will learn about these agencies and NGOs in their lectures and coursework leading up to the trip where they will meet and engage in these high-level conversations.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Learn how to perform policy research.
Understand theories behind advocacy, policy making, and political influence.
Develop targeted policy proposals, and learn policy writing skills.
Learn lobbying and advocacy strategies.
Understand how influence works in international politics
